As part of the AFP DEI Initiative, the AFP 2024 Grant Program helps students and professionals, who might not otherwise be able to attend AFP 2024, participate in the conference through complimentary registration. The AFP Conference is the premier event for treasury and finance professionals to learn new ideas, exchange best practices and connect with peers.

Student and Early Career Professional Grant

A key component of our AFP DEI Initiative, the Student and Early Career Professional Grant empowers underrepresented communities to learn more about the treasury and finance profession through education and networking at the annual AFP Conference.

Grant recipients will receive complimentary registration to AFP 2024, October 20-23, at the Music City Center in Nashville.


Eligibility

  • Students in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program or early career professionals with 0-5 years of working experience.
  • Ability to attend AFP 2024, October 20-23, at the Music City Center in Nashville.
  • Can not currently be registered for AFP 2024.
  • Can not have previously been awarded an AFP Grant.
  • Grant recipients must agree to be featured in current and future AFP Conference promotions which may include live appearances, video interviews or written profiles. 

You do not need to be an AFP member to apply for an AFP 2024 Grant.


How to Apply

Please complete the online application by August 16.


Selection Criteria

Applications are reviewed and scored by members of the AFP DEI Initiative Advisory Council and AFP subject matter experts. The review committee will seek candidates who are eager to learn and will apply the skills and knowledge gained from attending AFP 2024 to advance their career goals.


Grant Distribution

If you are selected for an AFP 2024 Student and Early Career Professional grant, an AFP staff member will reach out with more information by September 6. If you are already registered for AFP 2024, you can not apply for an AFP 2024 Grant. This Grant covers AFP 2024 registration and does not include travel and other expenses.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Grant

The treasury and finance profession is powerful — and it can grow even stronger by adopting diverse and inclusive business practices. The DEI Grant is an opportunity for experienced treasury and finance professionals to learn how they can align their work with the principles of DEI.

Grant recipients will receive complimentary registration to AFP 2024, October 20-23, at the Music City Center in Nashville.

Mentoring Program

Looking to make an impact on the treasury and finance community? We're looking for attendees who are willing to mentor our grant recipients before, during and after the event.

We'll match grant recipients with interested treasury and finance professionals and provide resources and an onsite meeting area to support the relationship.
