Aswath Damodaran

Professor, NYU Stern School of Business | Author, Narrative and Numbers


As a Professor of Finance at the Stern School of Business at NYU, Aswath Damodaran teaches corporate finance and valuation courses in the school’s MBA program. Damodaran has been published in the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, the Journal of Finance, the Journal of Financial Economics, and the Review of Financial Studies. He has written multiple books on topics including equity valuation, corporate finance, and portfolio management. Damodaran’s most recent book, Narrative and Numbers, argues that the power of story drives corporate value, adding substance to numbers and persuading even cautious investors to take risks. He also shares his thoughts about valuation, corporate finance, and the news of the day on his blog, Musings on Markets.
